A 30-year-old inmate was hospitalised early Thursday after he was allegedly assaulted by other inmates at the Bahamas Department of Corrections.
Initial reports indicate that the incident occurred shortly after 2.30am on December 11, when the inmate sustained injuries to his body during the alleged assault. He was taken to hospital, where he is undergoing medical assessments.
Police are working with the Bahamas Department of Corrections as investigations continue.
