A TEACHER was granted bail yesterday after being accused of indecently assaulting a 15-year-old female student while driving her home last month.

Assistant Chief Magistrate Carolyn Vogt-Evans arraigned Christin Johnson, 33, on a charge of indecent assault.

Prosecutors allege that Johnson inappropriately touched the girl’s thigh while driving her from Achiever’s Christian Academy sometime between January 1 and 31 in New Providence.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The court granted him $4,000 bail with one surety. Under the terms of his release, he must sign in at the Grove Police Station on the last Sunday of every month and is strictly prohibited from interfering with the complainant or any witnesses in the case.

His trial is scheduled for April 8.

Attorney Alex Dorsett represented the accused.
