LW Young Jr High School is celebrating the academic success of its Class of 2025, with students earning impressive results in the Bahamas Junior Certificate (BJC) exams. Leading the class are Valedictorian Mark Storr and Salutatorian Elisha D. Phillips Jr, both of whom demonstrated outstanding academic performance and leadership potential.
At the top of the class, Mark Storr earned the title of Valedictorian with a remarkable 10 BJC passes, including 8 As and 2 Bs. His stellar performance places him among top junior high achievers in the country and reflects his unwavering focus and academic discipline.
In addition to his academic achievements, Mark is a dedicated member of the LW Young Boys Empowerment program, where he continues to develop his leadership skills. Known for his humility and drive, Mark has set a high bar for his peers and is poised for continued success as he enters the next phase of his education.
Following closely behind, Elisha D. Phillips Jr earned the distinction of Salutatorian for the Class of 2025. At just 14 years old, Elisha achieved 9 BJCs—3 As and 4 Bs—showcasing both academic strength and consistency.
An active member of the Boys Club, Elisha balances his studies with character-building initiatives and has set his sights on becoming a mechanical engineer. His strong results and forward-thinking ambition make him one to watch in the years ahead.
Among the school’s other high achievers is Aaliyah Joseph, who passed 8 BJCs with 3 As and 3 Bs. Her success reflects steady effort and a commitment to academic growth throughout her time at LW Young.
Aaliyah’s results position her as a solid and promising student, and her quiet determination sets a strong example for others aiming to reach their full potential.
