Golfer Tyesha Tynes making her presence felt

JUNIOR sensation Tyesha Tynes made her presence felt once again as the Lady Broncos women’s golf team from Hsstings College competed in the Siouxland Women’s Invite on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Lady Broncos tied for fourth out of the 11 teams that attended. 

Tynes led the team shooting +17 through two rounds to finish fourth individually. She also shot her lowest score in the first round with a 79. 

Junior Lindsey Warsnak finished with +33 to place 25th, with her best score consisting of an 85 the first round .

Following shortly behind was sophomore Makayla Miller who finished with a +34 and sophomore Katelyn Tacha who shot +36. 

Sophomore Cassidy Noonan rounded out the team with +48.

The Lady Broncos’ golf team were coming off their first tournament loss of the fall season at the Mount Marty Invite over the weekend of August 28-29 where they placed 10th out of the 14 teams that attended. 

Tynes once again led the team as she finished +35 throughout the two rounds, placing 38th. 

Tynes shot her best in the second round with a score of 88. 

Junior Lindsey Warsnak finished close behind with +38 overall and had her best round also on the second day with a 89. 

Sophomore Makayla Miller finished +47 and freshman Abbie Winterbottom shot +50. 

Rounding out the team was sophomore Katelyn Tacha, who finished with +58. 

The Lady Broncos were in Orange City, Iowa, to compete at the Women’s Siouxland Invite on September 16-17. 

Next up for the Lady Broncos will be a trip to the Mount Mary Invite in Niobrara, NE at the Tatanka Golf Course on Monday and Tuesday, September 22-23.
