A 27-year-old man accused of assaulting a woman with a rock was granted bail yesterday.
Prosecutors allege Jamell Matthew assaulted Varnessa Moss during a verbal altercation on January 4 in New Providence.
Matthew pleaded not guilty to assault with a dangerous instrument before Deputy Chief Magistrate Kara Turnquest Deveaux.
Inspector K Wilkinson, the prosecutor, raised no objection to bail, which was set at $5,000 with one or two sureties.
Matthew returns to court for trial on March 4.
