AN 18-year-old woman became the country’s eighth traffic fatality of the year after she was killed in a car collision early yesterday morning.
Police said they were alerted to the crash on Prince Charles Drive shortly after 1am. Responding officers found a Suzuki Swift had collided with a wooden pole.
Three people were in the vehicle: the woman passenger and two men. The woman was unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her relatives were too inconsolable to speak with The Tribune yesterday.
The other two occupants were injured and taken to hospital, where their condition remains unknown.
Investigations are ongoing.
