A MAN accused of an armed carjacking in January was remanded to prison yesterday.

Prosecutors allege that Charles Dorelius, 22, acting with accomplices and armed with a handgun, robbed Carshala Johnson of her silver 2015 Suzuki Avery and personal documents on January 10.

Dorelius was not required to enter a plea to the armed robbery charge before Acting Chief Magistrate Ancella Evans.

He was informed that the matter will proceed to the Supreme Court by voluntary bill of indictment. Any bail application must be made in the higher court.

Dorelius was remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services until service of the voluntary bill of indictment on August 6.

Inspector Deon Barr prosecuted the case.
