A MAN accused of trying to abduct a 12-year-old girl earlier this month and having child pornography on his phone was granted bail yesterday.

Prosecutors allege that Isaiah Seymour, 29, attempted to snatch a 12-year-old girl off the streets of New Providence on March 10.

Seymour is also accused of possessing three pornographic videos of nude underage girls engaged in sexual acts on his phone, dated between March 20, 2023 and October 15, 2025.

While Seymour pleaded not guilty to three counts of possession of child pornography before Magistrate Abigail Farrington, he was not required to enter a plea to the charge of attempted child stealing.

Although the prosecution objected to bail, Seymour was granted bail in the sum of $9,500 with one or two sureties.

As part of his bail conditions, he must surrender his travel documents and be fitted with a monitoring device.

Seymour must also sign in at the East Street South Police Station every Monday, Wednesday and Friday by 7pm.

He returns to court for trial and service of his voluntary bill of indictment on June 22.

Levan Johnson represented the accused.
