A 44-year-old man was found dead beneath a vehicle on Antigua Street on Saturday afternoon in what is being treated as an accidental death.

Authorities were alerted shortly after 5pm that a man had become trapped under a vehicle. Responding officers found him unresponsive near a silver Nissan.

A wrecker was called to remove the vehicle, and Emergency Medical Services personnel later confirmed there were no signs of life.

Preliminary information suggests a neighbour made the discovery after returning home and immediately alerted authorities.

An autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death as investigations continue.
