St Augustine's Monastery to host annual meeting for PMS Directors of AEC
THE hallowed hills of the Emmaus Centre and St Augustine’s Monastery at Fox Hill will come alive as the Most Reverend Patrick Pinder, Archbishop of Nassau and President of the Antilles Episcopal Conference (AEC) welcomes Pontifical Mission Societies’ (PMS) Directors of AEC to The Bahamas for their annual meeting from February 3 to February 7. The AEC’s membership includes five archdioceses, fourteen dioceses, and two missions, which ministers to more than 2.1 million Catholics in the Caribbean from current and former British, Dutch, and French colonies and dependencies, Central America, and northern South America.

Community outreach week
Living Waters Kingdom Ministries concluded a successful week of community outreach with a clothing drive to members of the Fort Charlotte constituency on Saturday. The church, in collaboration with Women Supporting Women Ministries of Florida, USA, gave away clothes to needy persons in the community. The drive was advertised to members of the constituency by the Fort Charlotte Urban Renewal division. The distribution began at 8am and scores of persons quietly lined up on the church grounds to choose from an assortment of adult and children’s clothes, blankets, stuffed animals and shoes.
