Minister of Labour and National Insurance Shane Gibson and State Minister in the Ministry of Finance Michael Halkitis sign the agreement. Bahamas Public Service Union president John Pinder also signed the new agreement.

16,000 public workers to be given increased benefits
SIXTEEN thousand public servants can expect increased benefits as the government signed a new industrial agreement with the Bahamas Public Service Union to award lump sum increments, retroactive to 2010, equal to one regular increment.
