Govt signs $17m contract to repair four RBDF patrol ships
THE government has signed $17 million in contracts to repair and retrofit four Royal Bahamas Defence Force vessels, a move National Security Minister Myles LaRoda said will strengthen the country's maritime security and return key patrol ships to active service.
Bethel rejects claims of inoperable RBDF vessels
ROYAL Bahamas Defence Force Commodore Tellis Bethel yesterday dismissed tabloid reports that the majority of RBDF vessels are inoperable, explaining only three patrol crafts require maintenance or repairs.

A CLIP has gone viral of Prime Minister Dr Hubert Minnis admonishing Royal Bahamas Defence Force Commodore Tellis Bethel about marines “mashing up” defence force vessels, adding that officers must “learn to navigate”.
