Auto dealer chief: No panic on first half 11% drop-off
THE BAHAMAS Motor Dealers Association’s (BMDA) president yesterday asserted there is no panic over the 11 percent decline in new auto sales for the 2026 first half as he and other vendors “feel the pinch” of increased shipping costs and delays.
No tariff ‘end of world’ as auto sales up 12%
New car sales exceeded 2024’s “banner year” by 12 percent during the first two months of 2025, with one Bahamian auto dealer yesterday asserting that current global uncertainty “won’t become the end of the world”.
