YOUNG accountants who recently completed their degree programme were welcomed into the profession by the Bahamas Institute of Chartered Accountants at a reception last Friday. At the reception, held at the British Colonial Hilton, BICA's education committee, which is responsible for a mentorship programme at the College of the Bahamas, entertained and networked with individuals who are still pursuing their degrees, and some who have only recently been employed in the field. "This even is a wonderful opportunity for aspiring young accountants to socialise and network with accountants already in the profession," said chair of the committee, Dominic Williams. "This even provides the bridge between the classroom, workplace and qualification as a professional accountant."
