This article is a vain, bold-faced incantation by individuals or group that is disseminating erronuous information for personal gain. Indeed, The Bahamas has a way to go with reference to the field of Industrial Health and Safety. Being a Certified OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Professional), fully versed in ALL aspects of same, I can state unequivically, that there are many areas of the science of workplace safety that can be enhanced in The Bahamas; however, one must be very careful that entities that see opportunities to use this deficiency in Industrial Health and Safety to capitalize on the ignorance of our people, with reference to established health and safety practices. As a Bahamian citizen that IS Certifeid in the field, perspective "students " that are contemplating training in safety,please educate yourselves as to the professional training avenues available, taught by CERTIFIED BAHAMIANS; REQUEST credentials from these "peddlers".
