THE cheerleaders of the Philadelphia Eagles recently wrapped up a calendar shoot featuring beautiful backdrops in the Bahamas.

The cheerleaders' squad conducted the shoot May 10-14, using the Wyndham Cable Beach as their host resort.

The city's football fans were invited to travel to Nassau to view the shoot, and the Wyndham provided special packages to the loyal fans, who were also able to get updates on the Eagles' official website.

The Eagles organisation pointed out that the calendar will feature the 38 cheerleaders in "pristine settings" in Nassau.

The calendar follows the Eagles' internationally-recognised Healthy Environment programme, and the organisation will donate 10 per cent of the revenue generated to the Clean Water Fund.

Calendars will be sold in US bookstores, including major retail chains such as Barnes and Noble, Waldenbooks and Calendar Club, the team said. They will also be available at Eagles games and through the team's website.
