DENISE Strachan emerged as the overall winner of Macedonia Baptist Church’s 52nd anniversary Family Fun Walk Race, held on Saturday on Bernard Road, Fox Hill.

The early morning event got started at the church and headed west to the Village Road round-a-bout and back to the church where a screening by nurses from the School Health Unit through the Healthy Lifestyle Unit took place.

For her effort, Strachan was presented with a cellular phone and a gift bag from Aliv, the major sponsor of the event, along with Thompson Trading, who provided Gatorade for all participants.

Shonel Ferguson, the Member of Parliament for Fox Hill, also participated in the event, which was coordinated by Ann Thompson.
