Chinese Ambassador to The Bahamas Yan Jiarong donated $20,000 to the Bahamas Public Parks and Public Beaches Authority during a visit to the Authority's headquarters on Gladstone Road and Fire Trail Road West yesterday.
The ambassador met with the Authority's executive team and Board of Directors to discuss matters of mutual interest before participating in a gift exchange with Executive Chairman Jamahl Strachan at the conclusion of a press briefing.
The donation is expected to support the Authority's work in maintaining and enhancing public parks and beaches throughout The Bahamas.
