FOUR people were arrested and more than $21,000 worth of suspected marijuana products seized in three drug operations in New Providence, Grand Bahama and Bimini on Thursday and Friday.
The seizures included suspected hydroponic marijuana, hundreds of THC-infused gummies and vape pens, while officers also recovered an illegal firearm, ammunition and nearly $9,000 in cash.
A 29-year-old man was arrested in New Providence on Thursday after Drug Enforcement Unit officers, assisted by the Canine Support Unit, executed a search warrant at a one-bedroom efficiency on an unnamed road off Faith Avenue South.
Police said officers entered the residence shortly after 9.30am and searched it in the presence of the sole occupant.
They allegedly found about 3.15 pounds of suspected hydroponic marijuana with an estimated street value of $6,150, along with 15 THC-infused vape pens valued at $1,200 and 495 THC-infused edible gummies valued at about $6,200.
Officers also searched a black jacket and allegedly found $5,608 in cash, which was seized as suspected proceeds of crime.
The search later extended to a fascia board near the exterior doorway, where officers allegedly discovered a vacuum-sealed package containing a firearm and ammunition.
The man was arrested and cautioned.
On Friday night in Grand Bahama, three men, aged 24, 25 and 26, were arrested after officers allegedly found suspected hydroponic marijuana and cash at a Scott Street residence.
Drug Enforcement Unit officers, assisted by the Mobile Division, executed a search warrant at the home shortly after 9.40pm.
Police said the search uncovered about 1.3 pounds of suspected hydroponic marijuana with an estimated street value of $2,060 and $3,295 in cash.
The money was seized as suspected proceeds of criminal activity.
Meanwhile, a 40-year-old woman was arrested in Bimini on Friday after officers allegedly found 121 suspected marijuana-infused gummies at her Bailey Town residence.
Officers from the Bimini Division and Drug Enforcement Unit searched the home shortly after 6.30pm.
Police said 21 packages of suspected marijuana-infused gummies were found inside a leather backpack in a washroom.
Two brown boxes were also allegedly found in a bedroom, each containing 50 suspected marijuana-infused gummies.
The gummies had an estimated value of $3,025.
The woman was arrested and cautioned, and the suspected drugs were handed over to Drug Enforcement Unit officers for further investigation.
