A MAN was placed on probation after assaulting another man with a knife at Potter’s Cay Dock last week.
Christopher Rose, 36, assaulted Kenron Andrews with a knife during an altercation at about 12.30am on August 3.
Rose pleaded guilty to assault with a dangerous instrument before Senior Magistrate Algernon Allen Jr.
He accepted responsibility for his actions and told the court he had allowed his temper to get the better of him. He asked for leniency.
After telling Rose to exercise better self-control, Magistrate Allen granted him a conditional discharge.
Rose was placed on probation for one year. If he breaches the terms of his probation, he faces one year in prison.
He returns to court for a report on August 9, 2027.
Inspector Timothy Bain prosecuted the case.
