A 37-year-old woman accused of nearly fatally stabbing a 38-year-old man at his Lincoln Boulevard residence last week was remanded to prison on Friday.
Prosecutors allege Shamir “Shawty” Dorsette stabbed Ishmael Pratt near his left collarbone during a physical altercation after he returned home at about 1.30am on August 4.
Mr Pratt was last listed in critical condition in hospital.
Dorsette was not required to enter a plea to attempted murder before Deputy Chief Magistrate Shaka Serville.
She was informed that the matter would proceed to the Supreme Court by voluntary bill of indictment.
Dorsette was also informed of her right to apply for bail in the Supreme Court.
She was remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services until service of the voluntary bill of indictment on November 27.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Kendrick Bauld prosecuted the case.
