A MAN was accused of hiding a loaded gun in a vent at his Faith Avenue home last week.
Prosecutors allege Jaleck McIntosh, 29, and an accomplice were found with a black and tan Kel-Tec .380 pistol and six rounds of ammunition during a police search of his residence at 9.30am on August 6.
McIntosh pleaded not guilty to possession of an unlicensed firearm and possession of ammunition before Senior Magistrate Algernon Allen Jr.
His bail was set at $8,500 with one or two sureties. Under the terms of his bail, McIntosh is to be fitted with a monitoring device and must sign in at the Carmichael Road Police Station every Monday, Wednesday and Friday by 6pm.
McIntosh returns for trial on November 12.
Alphonso Lewis represented the accused. Inspector Timothy Bain prosecuted the case.
