A MAN and woman were accused yesterday of having a loaded gun in Farmer’s Hill, Exuma, last weekend.
Prosecutors allege Shomari Longley, 28, and Sabrina Rose, 27, were found with a black Stoeger STR-9C 9mm pistol and one round of ammunition on August 22.
The defendants pleaded not guilty to possession of an unlicensed firearm and possession of ammunition before Senior Magistrate Algernon Allen Jr.
Sergeant 3004 Forbes raised no objection to bail but asked that conditions be imposed.
Longley and Rose were each granted $8,500 bail with one or two sureties.
Under the terms of their bail, they must sign in at George Town Police Station every Tuesday and Saturday by 6pm.
Their trial is scheduled to begin in Exuma on October 29.
Mario Gray represented the defendants.
