A MAN was accused of stealing a motorcycle at gunpoint in New Providence last week.
Prosecutors allege Isley Jean, 18, and an accomplice, while armed with a handgun, robbed Stephen Adderley of his white 2026 Yamaha XTZ on August 18.
The motorcycle was valued at $2,995.
Jean was not required to enter a plea to armed robbery before acting Chief Magistrate Ancella Evans.
He was informed that the matter would proceed to the Supreme Court through a voluntary bill of indictment (VBI).
Jean was also advised of his right to apply for bail in the Supreme Court.
He was remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services until his VBI is served on November 26.
Sergeant Vernon Pyfrom prosecuted the case.
