A ONE-MONTH-OLD boy died at Rand Memorial Hospital early Wednesday after his parents found him unresponsive at their Grand Bahama home.
Police said medical personnel alerted them shortly before 2am on August 26 after the infant was brought to the hospital by his parents.
The child was unresponsive and had blood coming from his nose when he arrived, according to police.
Medical personnel attempted to revive him, but their efforts were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead.
Investigators said the child’s father reported finding his son lying face down and unresponsive in a playpen while checking on him.
He and the child’s mother immediately took the infant to hospital for medical attention.
Police said foul play is not suspected at this time.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
