A MAN was accused on Friday of indecently assaulting his 12-year-old female relative three times at their Highbury Park residence this month.
Prosecutors allege the 64-year-old man, whose name is being withheld to protect the identity of the minor, inappropriately touched the girl at their Weybridge Road residence between August 1 and 12.
He allegedly groped the same girl between August 13 and 22. It is alleged that he inappropriately touched her again on August 23 at their home.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to three counts of indecent assault before Magistrate Abigail Farrington.
He was granted $9,000 bail with one or two sureties.
Under the terms of his bail, he must sign in at the Wulff Road Police Station every Monday, Wednesday and Friday by 7pm. He was also ordered to find an alternative residence while on bail.
And he was ordered to avoid contact with the complainant and witnesses.
The trial is scheduled for October 27.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Kendrick Bauld prosecuted the case.
