Jamaican man who imported $10,600 worth of cocaine into New Providence fined $25,000

A JAMAICAN man who imported $10,600 worth of cocaine into New Providence last weekend was fined $25,000 yesterday.

Donald Lumsden, 43, imported 1.6lbs of cocaine into New Providence and was found with the drugs on July 19.

Lumsden pleaded guilty to possession of dangerous drugs with intent to supply and importation of dangerous drugs before Senior Magistrate Raquel Whyms. He was ordered to pay a $25,000 fine or serve 18 months in prison.

Inspector 2257 Wilkinson prosecuted the case.
