A WOMAN accused of stealing $4,400 from a person’s bank account in June was granted bail yesterday.
Prosecutors allege that Azubah Lowe, 25, stole $2,200 from Locksley Munroe’s Bank of the Bahamas account on June 19 and another $2,200 from the account on June 22.
Lowe pleaded not guilty to two counts each of stealing and money laundering before Magistrate Abigail Farrington. Her bail was set at $6,000 with one or two sureties. Under her bail conditions, she must sign in at the Wulff Road Police Station on the last Sunday of every month.
Lowe’s trial is scheduled to begin on October 21.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Kendrick Bauld was the prosecutor in the case.
