A 27-year-old woman pleaded not guilty on Friday to possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

Kritineque Moss, of Eaton Road, Yellow Elder, appeared before Senior Magistrate Algernon Allen Jr in Magistrates Court on Nassau Street.

Prosecutors alleged that on July 21, 2026, in New Providence, Moss was found in possession of a black .45-calibre Glock pistol, serial number AFMB122, without holding a special licence issued by the licensing authority.

She was also accused of possessing 12 unfired rounds of .45-calibre ammunition without a valid firearm certificate.

Moss pleaded not guilty to both charges.

She was granted $8,000 bail with one or two sureties and ordered to sign in at the police station nearest her home every Monday, Wednesday and Friday before 6pm.

The matter was adjourned to October 19, 2026, for trial.
