A MAN awaiting trial for armed robbery was placed on probation yesterday after he admitted damaging his electronic monitoring device with water last Sunday.

Accasico Nottage Jr, 21, pleaded guilty to damaging his Migrafil monitoring device by exposing it to water on June 7.

He was placed on probation for one year and fined $1,000. Failure to pay the fine could result in a six-month prison sentence.

He must also reimburse Migrafil $850 for the damaged device or risk imprisonment.

Nottage returns to court today to pay compensation. He is due back in court on June 11, 2027, for his probation report.

Assistant Superintendent of Police Kendrick Bauld prosecuted the case before Magistrate Abigail Farrington.
