THREE men were injured on Friday after two gunmen on a scooter opened fire on a group socialising beneath a cabana at a park on Strachan Street, Chippingham, police said.
Police said they were alerted to the shooting shortly after 5.30pm and responded to the scene.
According to preliminary investigations, a group of men were gathered beneath the cabana when two males on a dark-coloured scooter approached from the west, stopped nearby and opened fire in their direction.
A 26-year-old man, a 33-year-old man and a 47-year-old man were injured. Park property was also damaged.
The suspects fled east on the scooter.
Police said the victims were taken to hospital by private vehicle.
The 33-year-old suffered a graze wound but declined medical attention. The 26-year-old was shot in the upper right thigh, while the 47-year-old suffered injuries to both forearms.
Their current medical conditions are unknown.
