Popular Sandyport restaurant 'Spritz Restaurant and Bar' had a surprise visitor on Friday night when an AI robot in a festive headpiece joined Halloween celebrations.
'Kris Jonathan,' a Unitree R1 model, put on an impressive display of commands including kickboxing, dancing, demonstrations and guest interactions.
He was brought along by CEO of Simplified Group of Companies, Robert Pantry, and Simplified Tech Business Lead, Kinara Lloyd.
Businesses usually hire the services of 'Kris Jonathan' or any other robot to help boost morale and in some cases to become an additional hand in the work place.
"We are in a view that within a very short period we are going to have much more practical use cases both for the workplace as well as domestic support," Ms Lloyd said.
As technological advancement sores, Ms Lloyd found that a lot of individuals are asking for a helping hand in their day to day life.
“We have a lot of requests from people as it relates to the machines to help them with household and domestic support use cases,” Ms Lloyd said.
Simplified Tech is a Robotics and AI company based in Nassau and is part of the Simplified Group of Companies.
Models such as the Unitree G1 model, which is the most advanced and popular online, is used more for household chores as it has the ability to be trained to complete repetitive tasks much like the Unitree R1 model.
For Ms Lloyd, technology is not to be feared, but rather molded to our personal preference.
“Appreciate that technology is here, it is not to be feared it is something we should be open to an embrace for making life easier and making life better.”
