A 37-year-old man was killed yesterday morning after his motorcycle collided with a Subaru vehicle on Gladstone Road, just south of John F Kennedy Drive.

Police said shortly after 8am they were alerted to the crash, and officers were dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, officers found a black Subaru, driven by a male, facing south on the eastern side of the road with extensive damage to its front.

A red and white Honda 650 motorcycle was also found on the eastern side of the road, with a man lying unresponsive nearby.

Emergency Medical Services personnel examined the man and confirmed that he showed no signs of life.

According to the preliminary investigation, the deceased was travelling north on Gladstone Road when he allegedly entered the southbound lane and collided with the Subaru, which was travelling south.

The impact reportedly threw the motorcyclist from the bike, and he landed on the roadway, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The victim has been identified as Tyrone Paul, affectionately known as “T”.

Mr Paul, a father of two and a native of Grand Bahama, relocated to New Providence within the last two years. He was his mother’s only child and was described by relatives as a mannerly young man.

Photos appearing to show Mr Paul lying on the roadway following the crash have since circulated online.
