A 28-year-old man accused of threatening to kill a woman in Yellow Elder and damaging a vehicle had three charges against him withdrawn after the complainant told the court she no longer wished to pursue the matter.
Deangelo Knowles was accused of threatening to kill and assaulting Felicia Norelius in Yellow Elder on October 5.
Prosecutors also alleged that Knowles damaged the rear windscreen, front right bumper and left rear door of a silver 2017 Nissan Sylphy belonging to Monique Bevans that same day.
Knowles was further accused of assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest on Prince Charles Drive on October 6.
He pleaded not guilty to assault, damage, threats of death, assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest before Magistrate Abigail Farrington.
However, after a female complainant informed the court that she no longer wished to proceed, the charges of assault, damage and threats of death were withdrawn.
Knowles was granted $5,000 bail with one or two sureties on the remaining charges. He must sign in at Grove Police Station every Sunday by 7pm.
His trial is scheduled for February 17, 2027.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Kendrick Bauld prosecuted the case.
