POLICE are investigating a suspected suicide attempt involving a 29-year-old woman at a residence on Cowpen Road on Tuesday night.
According to reports, shortly after 8.30pm, a woman contacted police after suspecting that her daughter had ingested a large quantity of over-the-counter medication and was unresponsive.
Officers responded to the residence but were unable to communicate with the 29-year-old woman.
Emergency Medical Services personnel subsequently arrived, assessed her condition and transported her to hospital for further treatment and evaluation.
The woman was reported to be in stable condition.
Investigations are continuing.
