A MAN and woman were accused of having $76,600 worth of marijuana in their home on Sandilands Village Road last week.

Prosecutors allege that Geavanni Turner, 31, and Roseline Orelus, 34, were found with 38.3lbs of marijuana at their residence around 3.30pm on October 9.

With the assistance of canine units, officers allegedly recovered 22 vacuum-sealed packages of hydroponic marijuana and three additional packages in a grey duffel bag in the hallway. Another nine sealed packages containing suspected marijuana were found in the bathroom.

Both defendants pleaded not guilty to possession of dangerous drugs with intent to supply before Senior Magistrate Raquel Whyms.

They were each granted $20,000 bail with one or three sureties and ordered to wear electronic monitoring devices. They must also sign in at the Elizabeth Estates Police Station every Monday, Wednesday and Friday by 6pm.

The defendants are scheduled to return for trial on January 25, 2027.

Inspector 2257 Wilkinson prosecuted the case.
