Police investigate separate stabbing in Eleuthera and shooting on Hospital Lane

AN ELEUTHERA man only realised he had been stabbed in the stomach while he was on his way to report that two men had hit him in the face with a bottle.

The 46-year-old was airlifted to New Providence for treatment after the attack in the Blackwood community on Sunday. Police said his condition was last listed as serious but stable.

Shortly before 6pm, the man went to the Bluff Police Station and told officers he had been approached by two men in Blackwood, whom he said he could identify if he saw them again. The men allegedly struck him in the face with a bottle, injuring his head.

The man left the scene to report the attack, but while on his way, he realised he also had a deep cut to his abdomen. Police said one of the men had allegedly cut him with a sharp object.

He was treated at the Bluff Clinic before being flown to New Providence.
