In response to the Prime Minister's speech last night, FNM leader Michael Pintard said:

"Prime Minister Davis is right about one thing: Grand Bahama cannot keep paying the price of governance that isn’t answerable to the people.

“Which why my initial reaction to his long, bombastic speech is 'Take the medicine you are seeking to give others. Lead by example.'

“The most non-transparent, unaccountable, incredible government in an independent Bahamas wants to lecture about these virtues. Incredulous! The GBPA has to change but the Davis administration needs to change also. Whose bidding it is doing is anyone's guess but what is certain is it is not the people of Grand Bahama or else it would have delivered by now what it promised, redevelopment of Grand Lucayan, GB airport, International Bazaar, West End, East End, and the list goes on. I will have much more to say about this matter, but for now I say, something stinks in Denmark for the Government of $700 million plus unaccountable dollars. We are paying close attention and will figure where the rot is coming from.”
