AN ABACO woman was accused yesterday of stealing more than $69,000 from the government while working at the Marsh Harbour Government Complex.
Prosecutors allege Leslia McIntosh, 25, stole $69,179.25 between September 4, 2024, and December 30, 2025.
McIntosh pleaded not guilty to stealing by reason of employment before acting Chief Magistrate Ancella Evans.
Her bail was set at $9,500 with one or two sureties.
Under the terms of her bail, Ms McIntosh will be fitted with a monitoring device and must obey a daily curfew from 10pm to 6am.
She must also sign in at her local police station every Tuesday and Friday by 6pm.
The case was transferred to Senior Magistrate Kendra Kelly Burrows, where a trial date is expected to be fixed on October 1.
Corporal Moultrie prosecuted the case.
