A FAMILY understood to include two children was among tenants displaced after an early-morning fire destroyed a home in Golden Gates II yesterday.
The blaze broke out shortly after 1.30am at a residence on Leeward Isles Road, where firefighters were called as flames engulfed the property.
Fire Services responded and worked to bring the blaze under control.
Golden Gates MP Pia Glover-Rolle said she and members of her team have been in contact with those affected.
The tenants are understood to include two children, although further details about the family and their circumstances were not immediately available.
Mrs Glover-Rolle said members of her team were at the scene while firefighters battled the blaze and have continued communicating with the displaced residents.
The fire left the tenants without their home as they dealt with the loss and damage caused by the blaze.
The cause of the fire and the full extent of the damage were not immediately known.
No additional information was confirmed at press time.
