A MAN denied his alleged involvement in the fatal stabbing of 21-year-old Elvardo Munroe in Yellow Elder Gardens last October.
Police allege that Michael Adderley, 33, fatally stabbed Mr Munroe during a physical confrontation on Graham Drive around 5pm on October 30, 2025.
Mr Munroe, the nation’s 72nd homicide victim that year, died in hospital on November 7, 2025.
His mother, Ireka Smith, told The Tribune last year that she was frustrated with the delay in charges over her son’s death. Ms Smith said she wanted justice and that her only child “didn’t deserve this”.
Adderley pleaded not guilty to murder before Justice Guillimina Archer-Minns.
The defendant was informed that his case would proceed before Justice Renae McKay. He will appear before her for a trial date fixture on September 10.
The defendant will remain on remand at the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services.
