THREE men denied their involvement in a fatal shooting outside Twin Brothers on East Street and Sunlight Cottage last year that claimed the life of 24-year-old Julian Newbold and left two others injured.
Prosecutors allege Shaquno Sweeting, 21, and accomplices in a silver Nissan Cube pulled up alongside Mr Newbold and Marvin Williams near the restaurant and opened fire on them at 5pm on July 31, 2025.
A female employee, Johnesha Eugene, was also shot and injured during the incident.
One of the men was inside a vehicle while the other was collecting food at the time of the shooting.
Mr Newbold died at the scene, while the other two victims were treated in hospital for gunshot injuries.
Prosecutors also allege that Trevanto Taylor, 24, and Levon Pinder knowingly assisted the suspects in evading police custody the same day.
Sweeting was charged with murder and two counts of attempted murder, while Taylor and Pinder were each charged with accessory after the fact to murder and two counts of accessory after the fact to attempted murder.
The defendants pleaded not guilty to all charges before Justice Guillimina Archer-Minns.
They were informed that the matter would proceed to trial before Senior Justice Cheryl Grant-Thompson.
The trio will appear before Justice Grant-Thompson for a trial date fixture on September 9.
Following their arraignment, the accused were returned to remand at the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services.
