A MAN was sentenced to three years in prison after admitting to having two guns and 51 rounds of ammunition in his home on Oxford Drive last week.
Kristen Meadows, 36, was found with a black Austrian Glock 22 .40 pistol, a black Glock 26 9mm pistol, 38 rounds of 9mm ammunition, 13 rounds of .40 ammunition, three black 9mm magazines, a black .40 magazine and a black and silver auto sear during a police search of his home at 3pm on September 3.
The items were reportedly found in a transparent plastic bag.
Meadows and accomplices allegedly stole a burgundy Nissan Note belonging to Nathan Quant on September 1.
The stolen vehicle was valued at $6,000.
Meadows was charged with possession of an unlicensed firearm with intent to supply, possession of ammunition with intent to supply, possession of ammunition, five counts of possession of a component part of a firearm and stealing.
While Meadows pleaded guilty to the firearm charges before Senior Magistrate Algernon Allen Jr, he pleaded not guilty to the stealing charge.
Meadows was sentenced to three years at the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services for the firearm charges.
He returns for trial on the car theft charge on November 20.
