AN AMERICAN man forfeited $12,142 to the Crown after admitting to travelling through LPIA with marijuana and failing to declare more than $10,000 in cash to a US officer.

David Kim, 63, of Virginia, failed to declare to a US officer on August 8 that he was travelling with more than $10,000 in cash. He was also found with six grams of marijuana that day.

Kim pleaded guilty to failing to declare to an officer of the United States and possession of dangerous drugs before Deputy Chief Magistrate Shaka Serville.

He accepted the facts of the case.

Kim was ordered to forfeit the $12,142 to the Crown and was told he would face no further penalty.

Inspector Cordero Farrington prosecuted the case.
