BTVI cafeteria break-in accused remanded until November trial

A 29-year-old man was remanded to prison on Friday after being accused of breaking into the Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute’s cafeteria and stealing $100.

Prince Pierre allegedly broke into the cafeteria on August 31 and stole the money.

He was charged with shopbreaking and pleaded not guilty when he appeared before Senior Magistrate Kendra Kelly Burrows.

Pierre was remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services until his trial on November 16.

He was informed of his right to apply for bail.
