A WOMAN was accused of threatening two people, including a police officer, and making defamatory remarks about the officer in Cat Island last month.
Prosecutors allege Ginette Caty, 43, threatened to kill Caroline Chriswell in Orange Creek, Cat Island, on August 26.
Caty also allegedly threatened to kill Sergeant 3155 McKenzie that day and published defamatory remarks about the officer through spoken words.
Caty pleaded not guilty to intentional libel and two counts of threats of death before acting Chief Magistrate Ancella Evans.
Her bail was set at $2,000 with one or two sureties.
Under the terms of her bail, Caty must sign in at the Arthur’s Town Police Station every Wednesday by 7pm.
Her trial is set to begin on December 14 in Cat Island.
Corporal Moultrie prosecuted the case.
