A 45-year-old man was arrested after allegedly breaking into an Abaco trailer home and trying to unzip a 12-year-old girl’s clothing while she was sleeping early Monday morning.
Police are investigating the burglary and attempted sexual assault, which occurred shortly after 3am on Monday, September 21, 2026, on George Albury Boulevard.
According to the initial police report, the girl was asleep inside the trailer home with a female relative when they were awakened by the man, who was allegedly attempting to unzip her clothing.
The females recognised the man as someone known to the girl’s mother who had visited the home earlier. They asked him to leave, and he did.
The complainant later confronted the suspect about the incident, police said, and he allegedly pushed her to the ground, causing injuries.
The complainant subsequently reported the matter to police, who later arrested and cautioned the 45-year-old man in connection with the incident.
