A 17-YEAR-OLD girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by a man known to her at a business establishment in the East Street South area on Friday.
Police said the teenager left home on Thursday and spent the night at a family friend's residence.
Her grandmother was summoned to the East Street South Police Station shortly before 7.25am on Friday, where she learned that her granddaughter had allegedly been sexually assaulted.
The teenager has since sought medical attention.
Police said detectives are working to identify and locate the alleged suspect.
