Another arrest made in barge looting probe
ANOTHER arrest has been made in the fallout from the mass looting of a container barge that ran aground off Abaco last month, as police continue to track goods believed to have been taken from the stranded vessel.

NORTH Abaco pastors are helping residents voluntarily return items taken from the Brooklyn Bridge barge that ran aground last month, as pressure mounts over repeated ship groundings in Abaco and what critics call inadequate penalties for reef damage.

WHAT began on Thursday as a jubilant rush to loot a grounded barge off Abaco became a criminal scandal over the weekend, with at least two arrested and National Security Minister Wayne Munroe denouncing the mass theft as “criminal behaviour” that “gave Abaco a black eye.”
