Pretty pathetic to observe these two rejected politicians. How incredibly slow of an news day does it take for the Tribune to treat readers to Comrades Bran and Darron having an argument about which one of them could possibly be the worst politician of the two? These two comedians are still upset over how Bahamalanders stole their political hopes lunches back in May 2012. I know it's hard but these two can even make Abaco's Edison's falling star shine.

The problem with giving them a free pass to another country or even keeping them though is that you create a perpetual problem of illiegals coming here becuase they know they will get assylum. We must uphold they law of the land ... even if we lose somethings in return ... a free-for-all will benefit no one.

Both the Bahamas and the U.S deport Cubans back to Cuba every year. Firstly, what make these 24 more important than the rest? Secondly, those couple of politicians doesn't speak on behalf of the American Government. Lastly, you can't crumble to any and every pressure that comes your way, because they would always be pressure coming your way.

Someone tell Minnis the guy that made the video is still saying it's Bahamians beating Cubans, on the 19th of this month some liar named Gomez says he "walked in and started shooting the video of Bahamians beating Cubans". But we all know there are no Bahamians in the video. Minnis has been lied to by some moron about this being a reenactment. I am no PLP but Fred is right on with this one. Minnis don't oppose just for opposing sake.

Man the FNM is wrong. I agree with Branville we need to approach this united, the FNM should have dealt with this quietly rather than make these public statements.

Sanchez has yet to declare the video a reenactment, he still maintains it is an actual recording of Bahamian guards beating Cubans. He has been lying since day one and probably collecting millions in donations as a result of the fake video.

This is a time for us to act as one not to be campaigning. The FNM made a mistake. Today we still have no proof of any abuse at the detention center yet Sands makes this statement? Sorry but that is just wrong.

Expedited? They were there for MONTHS. They were also repatriated 3 months after the allegations came about, let's not forget this fiasco started from the beginning of the summer.

Comrade Hotep86 three months is about the time Minnis has left as the red shirts leader. The reds are now singing an whole different political tune than before.

Why Comrade Duane would want to get mixed up in this red shirts "confusion" is far below his intelligence. What has changed since his own reds made the following statements? Minister Freddy has clearly stated that the video is a fake and so has senior members of the red shirts.

Last week a video aired by America Teve, which purported to show Cuban nationals being abused by a Bahamian guard was debunked by Immigration Minister Fred Mitchell. FNM party chairman Darron Cash also dismissed the credibility of the video, as did Mr Chipman, yesterday. “I spoke to the Minister regarding the video, which we all agree right now was a hoax.”

My thing is this: I don't believe any logical thinking Bahamian believes that no beatings go on at the detention center. This has been a tale of time. If some of the detainees were beaten as a result of an attempted escape, then as the Minister said (whether we believe he covered it up or not) to let the chips fall as they may, we don't really know the circumstances. I also think this matter could have waited given the sensitivity of the situation at the moment. It was just ill thought out and will ultimately backfire on an already flailing attempt at leadership. As previously mentioned, Dr. Minnis toured the facilities directly after the video came out and stated he saw no signs of abuse. To be quite frank, the FNM just doesn't make sense right now.

I don't believe the former Prime Minister would have done something as damaging and silly as this. One thing about Hubert A. Ingraham, he is a Patriot, and a master strategist, whether we like him or not. Duane Sands should distance himself instead of hopping on the silly wagon. This is pathetic.

Didn't this all start with a video? Now that the credibility of the video has been destroyed, the red shirts are playing politics by joining in with a bunch of radical foreigners with their own self-serving political interests, by resorting to involving their own Bahamaland in an international media conflict. On NO evidence of any kind that can support the Cubans claims of being beaten by detention center guards? They need to hide their red heads in shame. Minister Freddy has clearly stated that a independent investigation has commenced and is being headed by a prominent judge, who even the reds cannot question his integrity to deliver a non bias report back to the government. The minister has clearly stated that his government WILL take action, IF any detainee was physically abused as is being alleged by the red shirts, in cohorts with their new radical Cuban friends. It ain't like these Cubans came here respecting Bahamalands laws. Once again the red shirts side with the illegal, against their own sovereign Bahamaland. Why so? Because Minnis is the conductor of a party, that has already come off its opposition tracks. Ask Abaco's Edison, if Minnis is all but finished as the leader? That being cozy with the Cubans who are using the leader to be bad mouthing our Bahamaland, may just be the last track, that will derail Minnis's already weak hold onto the leadership. I say he all but baked.

Here she goes again. Do you think Comrade Sister "Sha-run" is only guilty of being unaware or just stupid when it comes to what was contained in a 2010 Human Rights report done on Bahamaland, as recently as 2010? And, who was it that was PM in 2010? Who was it that was the Minister of Immigration back in 2010? Please allow me to education the good sister on the facts, as perceived back in 2010.

"Observers of the Carmichael Road Immigrant Detention Center complained of continuing "abuse by guards," although immigration officials stated that no such complaints were filed during the year. Human rights groups expressed concern that complaint investigations were handled internally without independent review and oversight. Children under the age of 14 were held in the women's dormitory. Many children arriving with both parents were not allowed contact with the father except during weekly visitation. Despite the possibility of being held for months, children did not have access to education. A team of community leaders conducted a fact-finding mission during the year, but the results were "not" made public".

Comrades where in the hell was that Cuban/American Congresswoman and her Cuban TV station friends and radical organization members back in 2010? Why no fake video back in 2010? To read Sister "Sha-run" you'd think it took Minister Freddy to come along to have to deal with them detained Cubans. The came here looking for trouble and any they found it, it' their own damn fault. They are only being detained cause they don't respect the sovereignty of we Bahamaland. If the US really wants them, then send ya planes here and minister Freddy be personally meeting ya backsides at the airport, with all the Cubans the government, not Freddy, got's locked up, for breaking Bahamaland's laws. .

Comrades it's so important we not confuse her entertaining us, by forgetting there’s political hacks, there’s very bad hacks and then there’s Sister "Shar-run," who infrequently chronicles for Tribune readers with her long-winded behind-the-scenes thinking of the few party loyalists who remain active in that once mighty but now fictional red shirts party. I ain't know about the scope of your imagination but I picture them meeting at some secret kind of small nondescript Club House, somewhere up in Cooper's Town, brainstorming the sudden downfall of PM Christie. The only question left unanswered is, is it Abaco's Edison or is it leader Minnis, who is not welcomed at the Club House?

By now most Bahamalanders know that the leader of the red shirts Minnis did something that has exposed the nastiness of the extent in which the reds are prepared to go to shortened PM Christie's time in office. Whatever in the hell ever happened to the once mighty, powerful red shirts party? And, why should even you red shirts care? Because even if it means destroying Bahamaland's tourism economy on the way to getting rid of PM Christie, so be it. Is this really still the party of Comrades Cecil and Brent Symonette. It has become a "Gallery of Wackos," slapp'in other MP's and all. No damn wonder Abaco's Edison has chosen to sit all by he lonesome self up in the House. Queen Liz must be disgusted with the behavior of Her Majesty's Official Opposition. She needs summon them all to Buckingham Palace, forthwith.

Just listen some things being said by people, whom I sure as hell hope are neither Bahamalanders or residents of our Bahamaland. You bleeding-hearts, since I thought that the detention center was a place to keep those entering our tiny county illegally, since when did it become a political forum for the red shirts advancement of their one and only platform policy .... to force PM Christie to leave office early. Which would you rather have as your government anyway? A red shirts regime that allowed access to any and all to enter, live and work in Bahamaland, or a government who IS finally enforcing our immigration laws? On May 2012, the voters said NO to the continued abuse of the sovereignty of our Bahamaland. That is what democracy is all about. The Detention center for detaining the illegal, is no damn place to go seeking democracy.

In true FNM style, Dr. Minnis abandons Bahamians at the very first opportunity. I hope he's not looking for Bahamian votes in the next election.

Hubert Ingraham paid a big price for abandoning Bahamians who returned the favor wholesale by abandoning him at the polls.

The Foreign National Movement has learned nothing from their crushing defeat at the hands of the electorate, and will remain in the wilderness for quite some time to come.
